Earlier this month, Ricewood MUD hosted the annual National Night Out (NNO) event at Ricewood Park to help promote community safety and partnership.
There was a great turnout! Over 110 residents and neighbors came out to celebrate, socialize, and learn about safety.
Residents enjoyed the musician’s impressive performance, the tasty tacos and snow cones, and talking with their neighbors and local safety and emergency response agencies and groups.
The Harris Co. Emergency Service District No. 48 (HCESD 48) brought out one of their fire trucks and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) brought out one of their special purpose vehicles. Residents were able to tour them and learn more about how their local agencies provide safety and emergency response while enjoying the music and food.
The night was a resounding success and Ricewood MUD would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the following vendors and volunteer groups who came out and celebrated with us:
- Journey Ice
- Wylie St. Tacos
- Hawk Security
- Inframark
- Harris Co. ESD 48
- Harris Co. Sheriff’s Office
- Katy ISD police
- Constable’s office
Again, it was good to see all our neighbors come out and brave the weather with us, and we look forward to doing it again next year! Mark your calendars for the first Tuesday in October for the 2019 National Night Out event!
