Ricewood Municipal Utility District’s Board of Directors is proud to invite District residents to the National Night Out event for our community on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. The event will be held in the parking lot of McRoberts Elementary School and Ricewood Park from 6-8 p.m.
National Night Out is an annual event that works to bring communities and first responders together. The hope is that by building relationships between community members and the first responders that serve them, a sense of cooperation and trust can be reinforced and built upon to keep communities safer.
This year, several first responder organizations will be attending the National Night Out event. Families can come and check out fire trucks, police cars, ambulances and more. Come by and speak with the men and women that serve our local community from Harris County Emergency Services District 48, Westlake Volunteer Fire Department, Katy ISD Police and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Food and refreshments will be provided by Wylie Street Tacos and Journey Ice.
The event is free to attend and Ricewood MUD has arranged for 600 tacos and 200 drinks free of charge to all residents. Get safety tips, meet the first responders and the Ricewood MUD Board of Directors and have some food and fun with your neighbors.
