Who is the Trash Provider for Ricewood MUD?

Residents of Ricewood Municipal Utility District (Ricewood MUD) benefit from the trash and recycling services provided by WCA Waste Corporation (WCA). Recycling receptacles are provided to residents for their use, saving the hassle of purchasing one on their own.

Accepted Recycling Materials are:

Heavy Trash consists of:

  • Bulky items such as appliances or furniture. Refrigerators and freezers must have the coolant or freon removed
  • Bundled tree limbs, brush trimmings and fencing, bundled in lengths 4 feet or less, with a diameter of 3 inches or less
  • Clear bags of yard debris such as leaves, clippings and stems.

Items excluded from Regular Trash collection are:

  • Dirt, rocks, bricks, concrete
  • Tires, batteries, motor oil, cooking oil
  • Waste generated by a private contractor
  • Hazardous materials

For standard trash collection and recycling, residents should place their receptacles at the curb by 7:00 A.M. on the collection day. Garbage should be inside the receptacles, with the lids closed.
