UPDATE:
In the wake of the hurricane and the large amounts of debris left from Beryl’s path, it would be impossible for us to provide normal collection and be able to service all residents in your area. By prioritizing and ensuring that ALL regular household garbage is collected each day and this weekend, we are preventing unsanitary conditions from happening in our neighborhoods. Bulk and Recycle collection has been suspended and is expected to resume July 22nd. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get back to normal.

Ricewood MUD would like to update residents on recycling and garbage collection:
• Recycle Collection: Recycle collection will resume NEXT week. There will be no collection this week.
• Garbage Collection: Garbage collection will continue as scheduled, with the primary focus on regular trash pickup.
• Possible Delays: The time for pickup may be slightly longer than usual due to the increased volume of collections. We kindly ask for your patience during this period as we resume our normal schedules.
• Storm Debris Collection: Trees, shrubs, brush trimmings and fencing must be bundled in lengths no greater than 4 feet with no branch diameter exceeding 3 inches. The bundling is required to allow quick pickup and size limitations are required to avoid damaging the equipment in the compacting process. A future storm debris collection may occur in the coming days. The exact date is yet to be determined.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation.
